In sum:
-
- As per dictionary definitions, "Impeachment" is a criminal prosecution levied by Congress.
- Congress's enumerated authority only allows them to file criminal charges against two (2) positions.
- Thus, Congress levying criminal charges against additional Kramerians cannot be part of the removal process.
Impeachments do not extend farther than the Presidency and/or Justiceships.
- As per Article 38, "If an inferior court deems any statute structurally repugnant to the Constitution, the case shall be delivered immediately to the Supreme Court."
Because a Justice acting in the capacity of an "inferior court" has found the statute at hand "structurally repugnant to the Constitution", this matter is now referred to the full Supreme Court, for all other Justices thereon to craft rulings.
