The standard work week shall not exceed fifty hours. Any hours worked in excess of fifty hours within a single work week shall qualify as overtime and shall be compensated at a rate not less than fifteen percent (15%) above the employee’s base hourly wage, unless a higher rate is agreed upon by the employing entity. No person shall be entitled to or guaranteed overtime work; overtime may only be performed where expressly authorized or approved by the employing entity.
