The Department of Justice shall ensure the compliance of offenders serving sentences of probation with all required conditions of their probation. Any officer or official of the Department of Justice who determines a potential violation of an offender’s conditions of probation has occurred shall notify a judicial officer with the authority to issue a summons pursuant to section 233.805 of this title.
