The possible terms of imprisonment imposed for each class of Misdemeanors shall be as follows:

(1) for a First-Degree Misdemeanor, the term shall be fixed by the court, and may not exceed seven (7) days;

(2) for a Second-Degree Misdemeanor, the term shall be fixed by the court, and may not exceed four (4) days; and,

(3) for a Third-Degree Misdemeanor, the term shall be fixed by the court, and may not exceed two (2) days.
