Any judgments or sentences imposing life imprisonment shall include a determination of eligibility for parole or post-release control, as well as a determination of how long such post-release control must last following any future judicial release. No person shall be eligible for parole less than thirty (30) days into their sentence for life imprisonment. A person eligible for parole may be granted parole by any judge serving on a court which would have original jurisdiction over the offenses for which the offender was convicted, subject to law and the Constitution.
