Writs of Habeas Corpus shall be established as an extraordinary form of relief, and shall be used by courts to order the release of any persons who are being detained or imprisoned unlawfully.

(1) A Petitioner seeking a Writ of Habeas Corpus shall be required to show one of the following: that their maximum criminal sentence has expired, that the court which heard their case and sentenced them lacked jurisdiction to do so, or their imprisonment is otherwise void, unlawful, or unconstitutional.
