(a) A person is guilty of the offense of Extortionate Usury when they attempt to collect payment on an outstanding loan balance or line of credit by means of—

(1) harassment;

(2) threats of violence;

(3) committing or soliciting the commission of, or threatening to commit or solicit the commission of, a criminal offense;

(4) defaming or threatening to defame a person;

(5) exposing or threatening to expose any information which would tend to subject a person to hatred, contempt, or ridicule, or damage the repute of a person;

(6) threatening the job or livelihood of a person; or,

(7) exposing or threatening to expose any private information about a person.

(b) Extortionate Usury is a Second-Degree Felony.
