(a) A person is guilty of the offense of Procuring Appointed Office when they—
(1) give, offer, agree to give, or promise to give any money, job, position, benefit, or other thing or item of actual or perceived value to any person, organization, business, or corporation in consideration of the use or promise to use any influence to procure any appointive office under the Republic for any person; or
(2) solicit, accept, agree to accept, or promise to accept any money, job, position, benefit, or any other thing or item of actual or perceived value in consideration of the promise of support or use of influence in obtaining for any person any appointive office under the Republic.
(b) Procuring Appointed Office is a Third-Degree Felony.
