(a) A person is guilty of the offense of Bribery when they—
(1) as, or on behalf of, a current, future, or prospective, government official or member of staff, solicit, accept, agree to accept, or promise to accept any money, job, position, benefit, or other thing or item of actual or perceived value in order to corruptly or improperly influence the official or any other government official or member of staff with respect to the discharge of their official duties, or in exchange for doing or refraining from doing any official action; or
(2) give, offer, agree to give, or promise to give any money, job, position, benefit, or other thing or item of actual or perceived value to another person in order to corruptly or improperly influence a government official or member of staff with respect to the discharge of their official duties, or in exchange for doing or refraining from doing any official action.
(b) Bribery is a Third-Degree Felony.
