(a) A person is guilty of the offense of Bribery of an Officer of the Court when they—
(1) give, offer to give, or promise any money, job, position, benefit, or other thing or item of actual or perceived value to an Officer of the Court, in exchange for a particular verdict, judgment, or sentencing determination, to affect or influence a verdict, judgment, or sentencing determination, to affect the arguments and requests made to the Court regarding any such determinations, or otherwise corruptly or improperly influence the discharge of their official duties; or
(2) as an Officer of the Court, solicit, accept, offer to accept, or promise to accept any money, job, position, benefit, or other thing or item of actual or perceived value in exchange for a particular verdict, judgment, or sentencing determination, to affect or influence a verdict, judgment, or sentencing determination, to affect the arguments and requests made to the Court regarding any such determinations, or otherwise corruptly or improperly influence the discharge of their official duties.
(b) Bribery of an Officer of the Court is a Third-Degree Felony.
