(a) A person is guilty of the offense of Retaliation when they retaliate against a witness, victim, government official, or Officer of the Court due to their lawful involvement in a civil or criminal action or proceeding by—

(1) harassing them;

(2) making threats of violence against them;

(3) committing or threatening to commit a criminal offense against them;

(4) defaming or threatening to defame them;

(5) exposing or threatening to expose any information about them which would tend to subject the individual to hatred, contempt, or ridicule, or damage their repute;

(6) threatening their job or livelihood; or,

(7) exposing or threatening to expose any private information about them.

(b) Retaliation is a Second-Degree Felony.
