(a) A person is guilty of the offense of Witness Tampering when, knowing that a person is or will be called as a witness in a proceeding—

(1) they knowingly make false statements to a witness so as to affect the testimony of the witness;

(2) induce or attempt to induce a witness to refrain from testifying or appearing during a proceeding; or,

(3) induce or attempt to induce a witness to alter their testimony, refrain from providing relevant evidence or information to the court, lie under oath, or mislead the court during any judicial proceedings or depositions.

(b) Witness Tampering is a First-Degree Misdemeanor.
