(a) A person is guilty of the offense of Mutiny when they, in their capacity as a member of the army or other publicly-administrated military, police, or security forces, knowingly and willingly act in violation of the law or Constitution, or knowingly refuse to follow lawful orders or commands from a superior officer.

(b) Except as otherwise provided in this section, Mutiny is a Third-Degree Felony.

(c) If the Mutiny was undertaken in order to undermine the lawful government’s authority, ability to carry out their duties under the Constitution and law, or to weaken the ability of the government to enforce the law, the offense shall be enhanced, and it is a Second-Degree Felony.

(d) If the Mutiny was undertaken in order to depose, overthrow, replace, or otherwise remove from power, the legitimate government of the Republic of Krameria, the offense shall be enhanced, and it is a First-Degree Felony.

(e) In any prosecution for Mutiny, it is an affirmative defense that the Defendant refused to comply with an order when they reasonably believed that—

(1) it was given by a person without the lawful authority to give such an order;

(2) the order was otherwise contrary to law or the Constitution; or,

(3) compliance with the order would have been unlawful.
