(a) A person is guilty of soliciting the commission of an offense when they intentionally solicit, request, command, or otherwise attempt to cause another person to engage in conduct constituting a crime.

(b) Soliciting the commission of an offense shall be equivalent in classification to committing the offense solicited.

(c) It is no defense to a prosecution for criminal solicitation that the person solicited could not be guilty of the crime solicited, that such person was not charged or prosecuted, or that such person was found not guilty of its commission.
