(a) The KCSS is authorized to:
(1) Conduct investigations into federal offenses;
(2) Apply for and execute federal warrants;
(3) Arrest individuals suspected of federal crimes;
(4) Detain individuals in accordance with federal detention limits;
(5) Seize evidence and property connected to federal offenses;
(6) Conduct lawful surveillance pursuant to judicial authorization;
(7) Compel testimony or documents where authorized by law;
(8) Coordinate with regional authorities where necessary.
(b) All actions must comply with federal statutes governing warrants and due process.
